If you’re able to travel to meet your future feline companion, we’re happy to consider your application, no matter which borough you’re in. We work with fosters throughout the city, so location often helps us make better matches. That said, we don’t limit adoptions based solely on location. Our priority is finding the best possible match based on each cat’s personality, medical needs, and your household dynamic. If you fall in love with one of our cats and are willing to make arrangements to meet them, we’d love to help make that connection possible.
For safety and accountability reasons, we do not allow adopters to pick up cats directly. Instead, our volunteers personally drop off cats at foster or adoptive homes. This ensures each cat is going to a safe, verified environment.
If you live farther away, please note that you’ll be responsible for covering the transportation cost, such as an Uber or another ride service for our volunteers, as we currently do not have the funds to cover long-distance travel expenses.

Finding your feline friend has never been easier. Our 5-step process ensures each cat finds the right forever home. The verification may be thorough, but it’s all about the perfect match.
This is your first contact with us – you’ll be warmly welcomed, and your email will be forwarded to one of our Adoption or Foster Directors who will guide you through the next steps.
You will receive an email from our Director with the adoption/foster application. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed, and you’ll be contacted shortly to schedule an initial call.
You will receive an email from our team member with the adoption/foster application. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed, and you’ll be contacted shortly to schedule an initial call.
After reviewing your application, our Director will contact you to schedule a home check visit. If you’re located farther away, you may be asked to give a brief virtual tour of your home. If you’re not far, we’ll arrange an in – person home check to ensure your space is safe and welcoming for your future pet. During this process, you will also be advised on the essential supplies you’ll need for your new cat, including food, toys, a bed, litter, and a litter box, among others.
After scheduling your home check, our Adoption Director will visit your home in person. This visit allows us to ensure that your living environment is safe and suitable for your future cat and gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the adoption process.

After the home check visit, if everything is approved, you’ll have the opportunity to meet your future cat at one of our foster homes. This is your chance to spend time with the cat and get to know their personality before making your final decision.
After meeting the cat, you’ll have the opportunity to decide if you feel it’s the right fit for your home and lifestyle. At the same time, our team carefully considers whether this particular cat is the best match for you. If we feel another cat might be a better fit, we’ll discuss alternative options and introduce you to other wonderful cats looking for loving homes.

Once the decision is made, we will personally bring the cat to your home – we never allow pickups, as delivering the cat ourselves ensures a safe and smooth transition. From there, a one-month trial period begins. If everything goes well and the match feels right, you’ll officially adopt your new feline family member at the end of the trial.

After final approval, you’ll sign an adoption contract with us. You’ll receive an official certificate of adoption, the cat’s veterinary records, and complete the process by paying the adoption fee.Â
