MISSION
At Cat Connections NYC, we are not a typical rescue or shelter, as we have no physical location – our power lies in the connections we build. Our mission is to grow a citywide network of dedicated individuals: fosters, trappers, cat rescuers, nonprofit groups, legal experts, volunteers, and compassionate pet parents who want to collaborate to help street cats in need.
We exist to connect – cats with fosters and adopters, rescuers with resources, and neighborhoods with the people already working to protect them. Through our partnerships, we ensure that every cat, in every corner of New York City, has a chance to receive the medical care, transportation, and love they deserve. We help cover treatment costs and logistics so our network can stay focused on saving lives.
Above all, we believe in unity. We reject grudges, division, and hate. We strive to build bridges, not walls – bringing together people of all backgrounds and experiences to create a compassionate community where collaboration triumphs over conflict, and every street cat has a chance at safety and a better life.
We are the bridge because no rescuer should do it alone.
VISION
Our vision is to achieve what may seem unachievable: a New York City where no cat is born into homelessness, suffering, or fear. We envision a city where the streets are no longer home to cats battling the cold, prey, accidents, and preventable disease – but where every cat has a safe, loving home.
Cat Connections NYC strives to make this vision a reality through a united network of fosters, rescuers, trappers, nonprofits, legal advocates, and compassionate individuals who believe that collaboration can change everything. Together, we aim to transform New York City into a global example – a city recognized not only for its culture and energy, but for how it protects and values its most vulnerable animals.
